Communication with "neighbours" and relations with the local community

Communication with neighbours and the local community is an important step to promote understanding of the operations of our members and the Alentejo wine industry as a whole.

There are many ways to inform neighbours and/ or the local community about changes in vineyard or winery operations that may have potential impacts on third parties. Keeping neighbours informed is an appropriate way to ensure that they are familiar with and supportive of operations.

This communication also helps to minimise opposition to the commencement of any new activities or developments in the vineyard and/ or cellar from neighbours or surrounding communities.

In addition to the above, participation in a local association can contribute to the promotion, understanding and awareness of the operations of the vineyard and/ or cellar as well as of the entire wine community.
